Win a CIBIL TransUnion Score and Credit Report for free!

About a month ago, CIBIL had teamed up with me to create a comprehensive FAQ and now they’ve graciously offered to give away Credit scores (and reports) for free to 3 OneMint readers!

The CIBIL TransUnion Score (and CIR) plays a significant role in the loan approval process. It indicates what are your chances of getting a house loan or a credit card that you desire.

The Credit report is derived from your credit history across products and lenders. So access to your Credit report will help you understand what are the areas you can improve on so that you can improve your credit history and thereby the Credit score.

How to participate?

There are two ways of entering the contest:

1 A) Like the Facebook page of OneMint OR

1 B) Subscribe to the daily email newsletter of OneMint

2) Leave a comment on this post or OneMint’s Facebook page letting me know that you have done so.

Doing one or both of these will give you one entry, and CIBIL will select 3 random winners who will be entitled to get their Credit Score and report for free.

If you are already subscribed or like the Facebook page, then you can just leave a comment as you’re already eligible.

The give away will close 10 days from today which is Jan 18 2013 and I will create a list and hand it over to CIBIL at the time. They will then choose winners, and I’ll declare them here afterwards. The winners would then have to share their KYC compliant ID and Address Proof, so that they can authenticate your identity.

I want to thank CIBIL for this great give away for OneMint readers and wish you all the best!

  1. Already liked FB page and subscribed to blog updates as email. Please consider my entry for the same

  2. Hi Manshu… Please let me know whether I am eligible to participate? 🙂 I have answered many CIBIL queries here and loan/credit card queries otherwise, but never checked my own CIBIL score ever. The reason is I have never taken any home loan/personal loan/education loan etc. till date and dont remember whether I have ever applied for any credit card in my own name (done that in my family members’ names though). So, please ask CIBIL team to grant me a wild card entry. Thanks in advance! (like people do) 🙂

  3. Great that you are running this contest and offering complementary CIBIL Score and CIR.

However, I feel CIBIL should improve on their process of Dispute Resolution. Till date I have generated 3 CIR (since Aug 2011) and have raised dispute for correction of CIR but still few issues remain to be resolved 🙁 hope they will resolve my disputes soon!

Another issue is that of multiple “Enquiry Applications” by member banks. CIBIL Score is affected if a member bank raises repeated “Enquiry Applications” for a single Loan/Credit Card application by a person. Cant their be a check on this anomaly?

  4. Was planning to collect my CIBIL report by next June.
Already 1B and now doing posting comment(2).

BTW, do people who got Shiv sweating with questions get any unfair advantage 😉 🙂

  8. This is really a good initiative by Onemint, for getting free CIBIL rating for the readers. I had already taken my credit score once in the past, but it is any time good to keep a track of our score on a yearly / periodic basis.

  9. I very much inspired with ur daily reviews. I am reading ur reviews & sharing with my friends. I am learning financial planning with ur reviews

  15. Hi, great article on cibil credit score. I am a prospective investor and was wondering, is cibil score important for investors as well because it is a dreaded word in the borrower’s community?
